From The Top of the Appalachian Mountains, to the Tip of your Finger.

Fred (Fredward) and Lucy (Lucile) Sugarfoot are simple country folk, born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia. They have a fondness for homemade wide and Appalachian bluegrass. They pride themselves on tradition and quality.

After Fred was laid off from his factory job during the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, he had to think on his feet about how he was going to support Lucy and their 9 children. That is when he decided to follow in his brother Ed’s (Ederick Sugarfoot Jr.) footsteps and learn about the “internet”. Fred was informed that with a little patience and ingenuity, he could set up his eCommerce business and incorporate his passion for down-home slide guitar, into a profiteering venture. Thus, in March of 2023, Fred, Lucy, and Ed started their venture as co-owners of Sugarfoot Slides.
